5 Day CFI
Earning your CFI is one of the most challenging steps in your aviation career. Compressing it into 5 days is the most efficient and economical way to do it. From a flight perspective, you have already demonstrated the skills necessary, so now all you need is to be able to fly from the right seat, teach (and talk) through the maneuvers, and of course know the aviation flight rules.
The cost for the 5 Day Accelerated CFI Program is either a guaranteed all inclusive $3,500 plus airplane costs or whatever is required at an hourly rate of $60. If you are reasonably proficient in the commercial maneuvers, FAR/AIM knowledge, and right seat flying, less time will be required and an hourly rate schedule will be the most cost effective. Some students have achieved CFI checkride readiness in as few as 30 hours of flight and ground training
The following pre-requisites would need to be met before enrolling.
- Pass both Flight Instructor and Fundamentals of Instruction knowledge exams through one of the following methods:
- Hold a commercial certificate with an instrument rating
- Required Texts for the Program
- ASA CFI Practical Test Standards
- ASA CFI Oral Exam Guide
- Current FAR/AIM
